2017 Dundee Hills Chardonnay

Our Dundee Hills Chardonnay embodies everything we’ve come to revere about this noble variety. The wine’s pronounced acidity is beautifully countered by an approachable freshness in the form of peach, nectarine, and candied citrus flavors. The warm nature of the Dundee Hills appellation affords a slightly round, rich texture, pulled taut by the highly influential volcanic soils and their signature offering of brightness and minerality.

Vineyards
Sourced from a site with distinctive soils and sun exposures, this Chardonnay is nothing if not complex. Meticulous sourcing in the field and mindful blending in the cellar yield a gorgeous representation of a Willamette Valley variety that’s increasingly and deservedly gaining international acclaim. We are thrilled to take New World Chardonnay to new heights with this release.
Winemaking
The fruit for our 2017 Dundee Hills Chardonnay is hand harvested and brought to the winery in quarter ton bins. After hand-sorting, all fruit is carefully put through a lengthy press cycle. Once pressed, juice was put directly to barrel to begin fermentation where it remains until barrels are racked and blended in tank for bottling. This wine completed malolactic fermentation, and aged with minimal lees stirring.
